Super Bowl!

Well, today is the Super Bowl. It will start around noon and end...well, whenever. The actual game isn't going to "start" until 5 1/2 later, but who doesn't enjoy a pregame show that long? Man, I love to just plop down on my comfortable recliner and watch a whole day of ex players blabbering on for 10 hours about a football game that will take less than 1/2 that time to play. They will also take this time to talk about everything in the news from the last 3 weeks. Go on, you try to fill that time with something when you have essentially nothing to say. Oh, and they have a post game show to do as well. Great. So what will the Super Bowl be like? Here is a list: (Caution: SPOILERS!)
  • 2 1/2 hours of talking about Jerome Bettis. OMG, he's from Detroit! Think of the stories...
  • The aformentioned ex-players will predict and then reenact the plays each team may use on the "field" in the studio. Sweet.
  • The coint toss will be elongated to 30 minutes. The commentators will blather on about who will call what and what the possibilites of getting it will be by looking at every coin flip from every Super Bowl since the beginning of time. Yippie.
  • The pace of the game will be 10x slower than a regular season game. So much so that they will have to spray the players with water to make it seem like they have been working hard.
  • In actuallity, more people watch the Suepr Bowl for the commercials. It is just a venue for the creative marketing muscle to show off. Lemme let you in on something: most of them will suck. I will guess one or two will be worth the millions of dollars put into them.
  • Half time will not include boobs. Well, bare, female boobs.
During this whole mess, I will be at Saddlecrack taking a super boring SAT prep class with a super stupid teacher. I will get home around 5:15. I will then procede to stuff my face with food and then turn the game on at 6:30 and maybe watch it. It will be tough, however, because the Lingerie Bowl is on at the same time. Now that is a game worth watching.

(Don't get me wrong, I like football, but the Super Bowl is just too drawn out and even boring at times. Just play the game.)
